AVA – Dancing by Candlelight

Art Nouveau and a tale of nature combine to create the powerfully romantic silhouette of our Alusi^® Ava candles. Inspired by the fluid natural forms and architecture of the Jugendstil art movement, Ava began with a flower story which then influenced her feminine construction.

When two Ava candles stand side by side they combine to form the shape of a flower, and it is this idea of two becoming one that first led us to christen Ava “The Romantic.” And, as when two lovers come together, something magical happens when you burn these candles. Ava’s flame dances back and forth between one and two, capturing the magic of a romantic waltz in the candlelight.

These swinging, dancing, organic forms flow in and out of each other, bringing to life a new ornamental form and making clear the true honorific for Ava – “The Dancer.” Ideal for a romantic evening, Ava alone offers a unique design with no symmetry, but when combined with a partner she blossoms into a fully realised floral sculpture.
