Livia – Nature’s Candle

Our line of Alusi^® candles is inspired by the essential forms of nature and design. Both purposeful and delicate, these elements may seem rather intuitive but they have resulted in some uniquely intricate patterns.

Livia is known as “The Leaf” because she calls to mind the very essence of nature. With a unique filigree pattern resembling the veins of a leaf, this candle represents growth and potential, just as the tiniest floral bud does. As the candle burns, the wax takes new shape, unfurling just like a flower in bloom.

Interestingly enough, it is this basic, foundational shape of the natural world that was one of the most difficult to develop into a candle. With no horizontal lines, Livia Grande and Petit were created so that when burned in unison the dance of light and melting wax would resemble a time lapse of a growing blossom.

Representing something so organic allows Livia to find a home in all our souls, as both her sculpture and her burning performance connect us to the natural world.
