QUADRA – MODERN MINIMALISM

When Maha Alusi (see Who is “Alusi” for more on Maha) began designing what would become the first collection of Alusi^® multiflame candles, she looked to simple shapes like the square and circle for motivation. The right angles and straight lines of quadrilaterals are inescapable in our modern world, and they lent themselves perfectly to this new type of candle inspired by nature and architecture.

Of course, the shape of a square alone could not drive the creative process, and so we considered the design, burning experience and production method when developing our Quadra candle family. We took the clean lines and minimalist interiors that are standard in modern architecture and designed three candle shapes to represent this ideal that less is always more.

Quadra Una, Due and Tre are free from the extra flourishes of many of our other candles, and they work perfectly into a clean, contemporary setting on their own just as well as they complement each other as a group.
